ROE Latam Trains the National Public Security Academy of El Salvador on ISO 37001 Implementation

Planning and Structuring an Anti-Bribery Management System: The elements necessary to design and implement a robust system were discussed, including defining policies, setting objectives, and assigning responsibilities within the organization.
Identification and Assessment of Bribery Risks: How to conduct a thorough risk assessment related to bribery was explained, taking into account internal and external factors that may impact the institution. Participants learned to develop a proactive approach to mitigating these risks.
Financial and Non-Financial Controls: The session included a review of the internal controls needed to prevent and detect bribery, both in financial operations and other organizational activities, aligned with international best practices.
Due Diligence and Verification Processes: Procedures for conducting due diligence when dealing with third parties, such as suppliers and contractors, were covered to ensure compliance with established ethical standards.

Management of the Whistleblower Hotline: Attendees learned about implementing and operating effective reporting channels, ensuring whistleblower confidentiality and proper management of reports.

Internal Audits and Continuous Improvement: The training included methods for conducting periodic internal audits of the anti-bribery management system and strategies for continuously improving established controls.
A New Milestone for ROE Latam in El Salvador
The training of the ANSP team marks another achievement for ROE Latam in its efforts to promote transparency and the fight against corruption in El Salvador. This initiative adds to the successful implementation of the same standard at the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (MOPT), which concluded today with the completion of its certification process.
